https://www.myaspencard.com/ is the website of the Aspen credit card. Their address is and email is:

Aspen MasterCard Services
P.O. Box 790215
St. Louis, MO 63179

cardholderservices@myaspencard.com

I am not sure which bank the lender is, and the website isn't that informative, it seems like a smaller lender. I would try to stay away from small lenders as they usually tend to charge higher interest rates and fees, and perhaps go with a larger institution.

I didn't know of Aspen until this post. I was going to tell you that perhaps you had mistaken the name, because I know there is a company called Aspire that issues credit cards for people with less-than-perfect credit. But they are also very high interest.

However, I disagree with the previous post. Very often, the best offers you will find today are from the smaller card issuers. I also tend to look for small credit card issuers, because I don't want my entire credit experience to be owned by Chase and MBNA.

It kinda sounds like a scam. Did you keep any of the original paperwork? There should be a contact phone number to apply over the telephone. The fact that it doesn't mention a website seems very fishy.

I would highly suggest putting a "fraud alert" on your credit report. You be able to contact Equifax and Experian to get your credit report with an alert attached. This alert is designed to instruct any bank that any account created in your name must be verfied with you personally before they will approve the account creation.

After reading some of the posts below, I'll remove my suggestion that it is a scam. But I still think I provided good information. It's just unrelated to this post now.

That was a mistake because ASPIRE does not report to ANY of the 3 agencies.. cancel the card and have the enquiry removed

I've received offers from Aspen and from Aspire. I remember Aspire having multiple fees and high interest, I don't remember the particulars on the Aspen card. In my opinion and based on personal experience, HBCS Card Services is a good bank to work with while trying to build credit. They offer high risk credit cards with no annual fees. I have had no problem getting ahold of a customer rep when needed.

actually I received a pre-approval in the mail last week I went to their website www.AspenYes.com on Wednesday and got my card the following Tuesday. You do however need an Invitation # to apply (I think) if you can't find it on the web you can call 888-866-6807 to apply
